Fifth Sunday of Lent

As we celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Lent, the Word of God reminds us that the Lord is the source of hope, new life, and resurrection. In the Gospel, Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead and proclaims: “I am the resurrection and the life.”

During this Lenten season, the Lord invites us to come out of the “tombs” in our lives—sin, discouragement, fear, or hopelessness—and to walk in the light of His grace. Through prayer, repentance, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Christ renews our hearts and fills us with His Spirit.

As we draw closer to Holy Week, let us renew our faith in the Lord who brings life where there is death and hope where there is despair.
