Third Sunday of Lent

On this Third Sunday of Lent, the Word of God invites us to reflect on our deepest thirst. In the desert, the Israelites questioned, “Is the Lord in our midst or not?” In the Gospel, the Samaritan woman meets Jesus at the well and discovers the “living water” that truly satisfies the heart.

Like the people of Israel, we sometimes experience spiritual dryness. Like the Samaritan woman, we may carry burdens, struggles, or past wounds. Yet Jesus waits for us at the well. He does not condemn us; He speaks to us, heals us, and offers us living water — His grace, His mercy, and His love.

This Lent is our opportunity to come closer to the Lord through prayer, confession, Eucharistic adoration, and participation in Holy Mass. Let us not be afraid to bring our thirst to Him.
