Play of the Passion of Christ
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we continue to prepare our hearts during the holy season of Lent, we are blessed with the opportunity to once again present our annual Passion of the Christ Play - a prayerful reenactment of Our Lord's suffering, death, and resurrection.
This cherished tradition allows our community to enter more deeply into the mystery of Christ's love, and we warmly invite all parishioners, those that have participated in the past and those that may be interested in participating for the first time, to take part in this year's production. If you are interested in knowing more we will be having our first meeting on Monday, March 2 at the parish hall at 7 pm. This year's practices will also include moments of Lenten reflections connected with the Passion for the Christ
For our play we are seeking help in two areas:
1. Volunteers to portray characters
Of course, this it an invite to those that have participated before but also to those that might be interested in participating for the first time please bearing in mind that no prior experience is necessary - only a willing heart and a desire to serve. Roles of all kinds will be available, and all are welcomed to participate.
2. Volunteers to assist behind the scenes
For those who prefer to support in other ways, we also need a dedicated team to assist with:
Props and set preparations and movement
Helping with costume organization
Stage coordination
General logictical support
Your help - whether on stage or behind the scenes - will greatly enrich this profound spiritual offering and help our parish reflect the passion, humility, and sacrifice of Jesus Christ in a meaningful way.
If you feel called to participate, please contact the parish office at 559-659-2225 or Roman Flores at 559-916-8630. As mentioned, we will be having our first meeting on Monday, March 2 at 7 pm in the Parish Hall. We hope to see you there.
Let us come together as one community of faith to honor Christ and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter. May the Lord bless you abundantly.
