This nine-day Novena to St. Joseph, guardian and protector of the Holy Family, is traditionally prayed in preparation for his feast day on March 19th. Each day of the novena honors a different role St. Joseph was given in God’s plan of salvation — from Foster Father of Jesus and Virginal Husband of Mary, to Patron of the Church, Patron of Families, and Patron of a Happy Death. Rooted in deep devotion and theological reflection, this novena invites the faithful to draw closer to St. Joseph’s powerful intercession and to imitate his humility, obedience, and selfless love.
