With Grateful Hearts: Celebrating 25 Years of Priesthood

Next Friday, on the 24th, twenty-five years ago (2001), I knelt before my bishop in Nellore, India, and was ordained a priest forever. During these years, I have celebrated the sacraments with great joy and gratitude.

With a joyful heart, I thank Almighty God who created me, redeemed me, and called me to the priesthood. This vocation is a precious gift, and I remain deeply grateful for the grace of my life and priesthood.

The call to priesthood is not a private matter; it is a call given by God through the Church. We are ordained not for honor or recognition, but for service. Serving God’s people is the very reason Christ and His Church called me — and all priests — to this sacred ministry.

As I celebrate this anniversary, I am filled with gratitude — first to God, and then to my family, friends, and all the faithful, especially the wonderful people here in Firebaugh. Words cannot fully express my appreciation for your kindness, support, prayers, and encouragement.

I warmly invite you all to join me next Sunday, April 26th, at 10:30 AM for a Thanksgiving Mass at St. Joseph Catholic School.

May God bless you abundantly. I remember you in my prayers and entrust you to His loving care.

Thanks be to God—and to you, His people.
